A few months after Fannin-Lehner have completed their field work of conserving gravestones, we receive a report of work completed. The report has before and after photographs of the markers with detailed descriptions of work done on each marker. . Included in the report is a “Gravestone / Monument Treatment List”.

The header gives the Marker number that corresponds to the marker number on the graveyard map. The last name and first name, date of death, type of marker (head stone or foot stone, the material; slate or marble. Also included is a description of the work (Treatment) done to the marker. A simple treatment would be “CLEAN,RESET”. More extensive repair would be “DRILL AND PIN RESET”. If known, the gravestone carver’s name is listed. “FR LIST” notes if a marker was listed on the Fragments List for damaged markers. The last column lists the year of completion.

A copy of this report is sent to the Massachusetts Historical Commission for their records.
